Anesthesia

Our experienced team takes anesthesia very seriously and utilizes a safe, multi-modal approach for each animal we treat. We use a combination of pre-op assessments, modern anesthetic agents, and the latest anesthetic monitoring equipment to keep your pet safe before, during, and after anesthesia.

Soft Tissue Surgery

Our veterinarians perform a variety of soft tissue surgical procedures involving the skin, body wall, and internal organs. These surgeries may be recommended to address conditions such as masses, foreign bodies, wounds, hernias, or other medical concerns. After a thorough evaluation, we will determine the most appropriate surgical plan for your pet and discuss whether the procedure can be performed in our hospital or if referral is recommended.

Mass Removal

Lumps and masses are common in pets and can vary widely in cause and significance. Surgical removal is often recommended when a mass is growing, causing discomfort, or requires definitive diagnosis. Procedures are performed under general anesthesia to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. After removal, the tissue is typically submitted for analysis to determine the type of mass and guide any further treatment recommendations.

Laparoscopic Surgery

Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive technique that allows certain procedures to be performed through small incisions using specialized instruments and a camera. This approach typically results in less tissue trauma, reduced discomfort, and a faster recovery compared to traditional surgery. Your veterinarian will determine whether laparoscopic surgery is an appropriate option based on your pet’s condition and the procedure required.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses extreme cold to destroy abnormal tissue. It is commonly used to treat certain small skin tumors, benign growths, and select localized lesions. In many cases, the procedure can be performed with light sedation or local anesthesia, depending on the size and location of the area being treated. Our veterinary team will determine whether cryotherapy is an appropriate option based on your pet’s specific condition.

Dental Surgery

Even with routine dental care, some pets may require dental surgery to address advanced periodontal disease, fractured teeth, oral masses, or other conditions affecting the mouth. Dental procedures are performed under general anesthesia, which allows for a thorough examination and safe, precise treatment.
